If you have never been to a Chiropractor I want to ease any anxiety you may have. We run a Mom and Pop clinic. When you come in you will be greeted by my wife, Lisa. She will give you some paperwork to fill out and make copies of your health insurance cards and Drivers License. If you do not have insurance she will explain our fees to you.

After the paper work is done I will greet you in the waiting room and escort you back to the exam room. In the exam I will find out what complaint brought you into the clinic. I will want to know the history of the complaint. Was it an accident, an injury, long or short term duration. If you have had treatment other places and what type of treatment. I will ask about surgeries you have had, other medical conditions that you are having or have had. All these questions lays the ground work for me to know what is causing your medical problem.

Then I will do a physical exam which includes orthopedic tests, neurologic tests, range of motion and palpation. This exam determines if your condition is something that Chiropractic can help. It also determines if an x-ray is needed or not. Not everyone needs to be x-rayed to receive treatment. In fact only a small number of patients need to be x-rayed. Only if the exam reveals a red flag do I do an x-ray. A second reason I will do an x-ray is if you do not respond to Chiropractic treatments the way I feel you should or your pain increases then I will do an x-ray to determine why.

If your condition is not something I feel Chiropractic can help I will tell you and discuss your options. If a referral is needed and you agree to it I will call and make an appointment for you while you are in the office.

Finally, and this is very important. You WILL receive treatment on your first visit. There are some Chiropractors who make you come back two or three times before you get a treatment. They may offer a free exam but then they have you come back another day to give you the Report of Findings and try to get you to commit to a bunch of treatments. Then on the third visit they will treat you. NOT IN MY CLINIC. I will try to give you some relief of pain at your first visit.

We want to see you the fewest number of times. At the least amount of money and get the best results !
